However, here are some basic things you must remember before you
get into laptop repair by yourself.
• If your laptop is still
under warranty period, it is advised not to disassemble it. Yes, if at
all you mess with the hardware configuration chances are that you are
voiding the warranty. Hence, better you take it to the authorized laptop
repair center rather than trying to repair it by yourself.

First and foremost, you need to be calm and patient through the
repairing process. Don't hasten through it. If possible make a note of
all the procedures you are carrying out while disassembling your laptop.
• Before you start the laptop repair process, make sure that you have tested the working condition of it properly.

If the warranty period is over and you want to open your laptop, make
sure you have the right tools. If right tools are not used, there are
more chances of breaking the parts while you are removing it.

Once you get into the hardware configuration, make sure that you do not
get static electricity. Make sure you have unplugged the power chord.
Leave it for some time. Once you start disassembling, beware of static
electricity.
• Before you disassemble the parts, make sure you
have noted how the connectors are connected. If you try to connect the
connectors with the wrong one, you may end up breaking them.

Once you disassemble the parts, ensure to keep the screws and other
hardware related parts in a safe place and dry place. Most of the laptop
parts are unique and designed especially for that laptop so, do not
lose them.
• Once you are done with the laptop repair, make sure you use the right sized screws to re-assemble the parts.
